Nickel alloy applications for chemical processing commonly used in reactors, pressure vessels, storage tanks, columns, heat exchangers, condensers, piping systems, pumps, valves, agitators, and process tubing. Different alloy families respond differently to individual corrosion mechanisms: Hastelloy grades are often selected for severe mixed acid conditions, Monel performs well in certain reducing environments, and Inconel or Incoloy grades can combine corrosion resistance with elevated temperature strength
