Incoloy 945X (UNS N09946) is an age hardenable nickel iron chromium alloy strengthened by additions of molybdenum, copper, niobium, titanium and aluminum. Its composition combines strong corrosion resistance with very high mechanical strength.
Nickel improves resistance to chloride induced stress corrosion cracking, while molybdenum and copper enhance resistance in reducing media and molybdenum supports resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Chromium improves resistance to oxidizing environments. Niobium, titanium and aluminum promote finely distributed gamma prime and gamma double prime precipitates during age hardening, producing high yield strength, tensile strength, hardness and fatigue resistance while retaining useful ductility and impact toughness. In the solution annealed and aged condition, the alloy provides a minimum yield strength of about 140 ksi (965 MPa) and a minimum tensile strength of about 165 ksi (1138 MPa). It also retains a large proportion of its room temperature strength at moderately elevated temperatures and maintains good fracture toughness and cyclic performance.

Incoloy 945X Corrosion Resistance
Incoloy 945X provides strong resistance to chloride induced stress corrosion cracking, sulfide stress cracking, general corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion.
Its high nickel content improves resistance to chloride attack, while nickel, molybdenum and copper strengthen performance in reducing media. Chromium supports resistance in oxidizing environments, and molybdenum improves localized corrosion resistance. The alloy also maintains resistance in environments containing hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and concentrated chlorides.
Incoloy 945X Mechanical Properties
Incoloy 945X is precipitation hardened by finely distributed gamma prime and gamma double prime phases formed from niobium, titanium and aluminum.
In the solution annealed and aged condition, minimum yield strength is about 140 ksi (965 MPa), minimum tensile strength is about 165 ksi (1138 MPa), and elongation reaches 18%. Commercial bar data show yield strengths around 992 to 1025 MPa and tensile strengths around 1224 to 1275 MPa, together with good ductility, impact toughness and fatigue resistance. Cold worked and aged material can reach substantially higher strength and hardness.
Incoloy 945X Temperature Characteristics
Incoloy 945X retains a large proportion of its room temperature strength through moderately elevated temperatures. Rod testing shows average yield strength factors of about 0.91 at 149°C, 0.90 at 204°C and 0.88 at 232°C, while tubing data remain around 0.91 at 288°C. Fracture toughness also remains high through 232°C, and low cycle fatigue data demonstrate stable cyclic strength at this temperature.
Its age hardened microstructure supports strength retention, while chromium contributes oxidation resistance. Thermal conductivity rises progressively with temperature, while elastic modulus decreases in a predictable manner.

For your incoloy 945x purchase, send your specifications to sales@arialloy.com or fill out the inquiry form below. Our sales team will provide a quotation based on your requirements. Once you confirm the offer, send us your PO. We will prepare the PI for payment and start manufacturing after receipt of the prepayment. We will notify you when your materials are completed.
Incoloy 945X quotation requests are normally handled within 24 hours. If the information supplied is insufficient for us to prepare an offer, or if we cannot quote the request, we will contact you promptly.
Under our standard FOB pricing, the incoloy 945x buyer normally appoints the freight forwarder. We will cooperate with the nominated forwarder to complete the local procedures associated with the shipment. If you would like us to handle transportation instead, we can arrange it and confirm the additional cost.
Since the alloy is made from a combination of metals, its price is affected by the cost of those metals. Nickel, iron, chromium, molybdenum, and copper are important contributors to superalloy pricing, so changes in their market values can cause the alloy price to fluctuate.
We perform incoloy 945x smelting ourselves and have the equipment to support different production volumes. Our factory operates more than 30 vacuum smelting and electroslag remelting furnaces in 50 kg, 200 kg, 1,000 kg, and 5,000 kg capacities. This flexibility enables us to work with smaller MOQs.

Our production controls for incoloy 945x include strict management of material proportions and chemical composition analysis during smelting. Once completed, the material undergoes PMI testing, and third-party laboratory analysis can be arranged for further confirmation.
