Nickel Alloy Flat Bar Manufacture

Depending on the required grade and dimensions, production may involve forging, hot rolling, cold drawing, solution heat treatment, age hardening, straightening, milling, grinding, polishing, and precision cutting. Flat sections require careful control of heating, reduction, width spread, cooling, and finishing to limit bowing, twisting, edge distortion, and thickness variation while maintaining a consistent metallurgical condition.

Every nickel alloy flat bar order is inspected according to the applicable material standard and customer requirements. Width, thickness, and length measurement, straightness and flatness checks, visual examination, chemical analysis, tensile testing, hardness testing, and ultrasonic testing can be carried out as specified to verify dimensional accuracy, edge geometry, surface condition, material conformity, mechanical properties, internal soundness, and overall product quality.
