Hastelloy alloys are high performance nickel-based alloys that provide dependable corrosion resistance in highly aggressive chemical and industrial environments. Their compositions commonly include chromium, molybdenum, iron, tungsten, cobalt, or copper, with the balance of elements varying according to the corrosion and temperature characteristics of each grade. These alloying additions provide resistance to strong acids, oxidizing and reducing media, pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular attack, and stress-corrosion cracking.
