Their nickel-copper composition provides dependable resistance to seawater, salt solutions, alkalis, hydrofluoric acid, and many reducing chemical environments. Monel alloys also maintain good ductility and fabrication performance, allowing the material to be formed, welded, machined, and processed into a broad range of product forms.
